"Youth in Revolt" Movie Review
This movie is hard to judge for me. For the reason, I have only really liked Michael Cera in one role, and that was “Superbad”. But I’m going to try to push that aside. Okay let’s talk plot, this movie is based on a book which centers on a 16 year old virgin named Nick Twisp (Cera), he lives with his mom (Jean Smart) and her boyfriend (Zach Galifianakis). The boyfriend gets into some trouble so they go to a trailer park, where (Cera) falls in love with Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday). This is when Twisp makes his alternate persona, because Sheeni says she likes bad boys. Then it kind of predictable from there, I don’t want to give too much away. The supporting cast is awesome, you have Steve Buscemi, Fred Willard, Ray Liotta and Justin Long, just to name a few which are all great in this movie. But over all I have to give this movie a BULLSHIT!, it just didn’t hold my interest unless someone from the supporting cast was there which wasn’t very long. I would suggest just waiting until it comes out on DVD if you really want to see it.
