The Informant!
This is a very funny film. The plot consists of; The U.S. government deciding to go after an agri-business giant with a price-fixing accusation. Based on the evidence submitted by their star witness, vice president turned informant Mark Whitacre (Damon). The film also stars Scoot Bakula, Joel Mchale and Thomas F. Wilson.
The whole cast in the film is great. Everyone does a great job with they're characters. But Damon is definitely the show stealer. He give such a great performance that you laugh and feel sorry for him at the same time.
You just laugh at the things that Matt Damon does. He's constantly narrating and doing his monologue in his head. The things he says is so random, you can't help but laugh. And seeing him just lie and lie, until hes so deep in the whole. That he has to lie more, to try to redeem himself. It's extremely hilarious.
Now, I should have mentioned in the beginning that this is based on a true story. Which to me makes it even more hilarious and fun to watch. To see that this actually happened to this real man is extraordinary. I think it's a very good film. Contrary to what other critics and press might say.
So down to the rating. I give this a WORTH IT! Because of the hilarity, this being a true story, and Matt Damon's great performance.
