Variety reports that Columbia Pictures has signed Kevin James to star in action-comedy Here Comes the Boom, which James will produce with Adam Sandler and Todd Garner.
Salma Hayek is circling the female lead in the film, which could start shooting in January.
The plot is currently under wraps, but it's also reported that James wrote the script with Rock Reuben.
