Coming Soon has spoken to an anonymous source close to the production of 'The Hangover 2', who claims that, despite director Todd Phillips' late 2009 remarks debunking rumors that the sequel would be partially set and filmed in Thailand, the film will head to the Southeast Asian country this fall.
Originally rumored by Latino Review last fall, a Thailand-set sequel was debunked by director Todd Phillips in an interview with Collider earlier this year.
"I don't know," Phillips stated in response to the claim, "There's a lot of rumors. There was rumor also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true."
According to this mysterious source, however, Phil, Alan, Stu and Doug will end up in Thailand when production on the highly-anticipated sequel begins on October 15th.
