"Whip It" DVD Review

Whip it, Whip it good! Ha I couldn't resist. "Whip It" is about a misfit (Ellen Page) from Bodeen, Texas. She finds a way of dealing with her small-town misery after she finds a roller derby league (made up of, Kristen Wiig, Drew Barrymore, Juliette Lewis, Jimmy Fallon and many more) in Austin, Texas. Ellen Page joins the team and starts to become the rising rookie star.

When I got this movie I had very low expectations. But after watching it, I quickly changed my mind. I loved all the performances. I just had a problem with Drew Barrymore, when ever she was on screen she seemed high or drunk. Other than that I don't really have a problem with the acting or the plot.

I liked the humor in the movie. I thought it was pretty damn funny. I also liked the conflict/ roller derby games it had. The actresses and actors played really well off each other. Plus it was cool to see Daniel Stern in a big roll again.

Overall I really like this movie. It had comedy, drama, and hot girls kicking the shit out of each other. So there isn't much for me to say besides my rating. I give a high WORTH IT! Go check out "Whip It' today!
