Variety reports that Vin Diesel is confirmed to star and produce in a third film of the Chronicles of Riddick franchise.
David Twohy, who wrote and directed both Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, will direct again from a screenplay he wrote.
The third film will come closer in tone to the cult hit Pitch Black and will focus on the character of Riddick as opposed to the universe he inhabits.
