'Grown Ups' movie review!

"Marcus Higgins: Hey, what's up, Lenny? Buddy, I thought you were gonna start working out. Lenny Feder: What does that mean? Marcus Higgins: Um... you're fat. Lenny Feder: No!"

I went in to this movie thinking I was gonna hate it. But I'll get to that in a minute. The plot is about; After their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend. And try to show they're kids that they can have fun, the way they did as kids.

But I did go into this thinking I would hate it. But I was totally wrong. I laughed hard at how they characters played jokes and made fun of each other. I thought this was gonna be one of those old Adam Sandler movies, the funny and kind of annoying voice, types of movie.

This movie works really well when they're acting casual. But the scenes that felt really set up, didn't work for me. Plus I think David Spade is the highlight of the comedy, as long of the lines of being consistent. Parts of this is over the top type of comedy. But it's really funny. Kevin James, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider, are in here as well but there jokes didn't hit me as hard as Sandler's and Spades.

There is also a strong cast of female actors. And by 'strong' I mean hot as hell. Such as, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Madison Riley and Di Quon. They all get in some good laughs as well. Especially Hayek.

But down to business. This movie I would say is about 70% hits, and 30% miss. And that 70% of laughs were hard laughs. So after having a night to process it, I got to give this a HIGH - WORTH IT! It's pretty damn funny, some of the jokes will hit and some with miss. But overall, you're gonna have a fun time with it.
